We have finished yet another Lisa Dupar Catering Open House, and they seem to just keep getting better! We were so lucky to be able to hold our annual open house at the fabulous Glass Distillery in SODO. The refurbished, 3,600 square foot venue offers two spaces, including a Glass Distillery Space and a Tasting Room Space. The Distillery Space features a stunning confetti glass concrete floor and an impressive selection of colorful hand blown glass from local glass artisans. We took inspiration from the Glass Distillery for the “Reflections” theme that was seen throughout the event. We were also thrilled to have Chef Christopher Harris, Pastry and Baking Arts instructor, giving live sugar blowing demonstrations!
From stations featuring northwest sushi rolls, spanakopita risotto poppers, and kalbi style Korean beef short ribs to a dessert station with drink pairings highlighting Glass Distillery Vodka, we were excited to roll out some amazing items on our summer menu. Partnering with Valley & Co, the husband-wife duo helped bring our vision and theme to life by utilizing the Distillery’s large space with a little something for everyone. Juniper Flowers provided lovely white florals including white anemones that really completed the look.
We loved partnering with Chalk Boss and Spruce Stationary & Design to create the displays, which included glass blocks, to showcase the stations and dessert displays. Our dessert display featured a variety of bite sized tarts, cookies, and cakes that were paired with fun drinks including mini Moscow Mules, Vanilla Cream Soda, and Basil Spritzers, to name a few. Ghost chairs provided by AA Party Rentals by Cort brought the theme together perfectly. A very special “thank you” to all of our sponsors!
