We held the season’s first Winemaker Dinner in the Lisa Dupar Catering Kitchen last weekend and couldn’t have asked for a better crowd, food, or wine! We were so excited to have Winemakers Ben Smith with Cadence Winery and Cortney Mills from W.T. Vintners join us with their amazing selection of wines. Chefs Michael Zimmer and Mark Riggs prepared an absolutely amazing meal that included a POM garden salad with artichoke confit, cobia two ways, pan-basted quail breast, Berkshire pork tenderloin, a grilled petite tender with celeriac puree, and chevre sorbet with macerated huckleberries to finish the night off. Some highlights of the night included a taste of W.T. Vintners 2015 Gruner Veltliner, along with Cadence’s 2011 Ciel du Cheval.
The dinner was set up in Lisa Dupar Catering’s Kitchen, which is always such a fun and unique way to dine here. The kitchen can be seen from the Pomegranate dining room, but rarely do diners get to experience watching the chefs prepare the meal directly from the kitchen.
