Lisa Dupar Catering is looking for a full time, off premise, catering operations manager. We execute 1,600 events annually while maintaining the highest standards for excellence in food and service. An ideal candidate for the catering operations manager position has very strong leadership skills and previous experience in the food & beverage industry, hotels or event production. Must have excellent communication skills and be able to lead teams effectively. Must have an outstanding, proven record of superb customer service and an infectious, positive attitude!
Responsibilities
Staff development, including recruiting, hiring and training service staff. Direct supervision of scheduling coordinator, full-time lead servers and a large group of PT on-call staff. Weekly on-site presence at special events. On-site event management for very large or complex events. Development and implementation of a service staff retention program.
Requirements
- Must have a minimum of 5+ years in a supervisory role in the event/service industry
- Prior experience in staff development, including recruitment and training
- Ability to effectively manage large teams of service staff with tight timelines
- Must thrive in a fast paced enviroment
- Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills
- Must be adept at executing catering contracts with precision
- Must have strong ability to communicate effectively
- Must demonstrate grace under pressure
- Flexible availability, which may include nights, weekends and holidays
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Pastry Chef
Lisa Dupar Catering, an award winning Eastside catering firm, is looking for experienced people to join our pastry team. Our pastry department proudly produces numerous breads and various types of pastries, including restaurant desserts, petit fours, and bulk catering desserts, from raw ingredients. We offer a fun and creative environment. Large production experience preferred and compensation based on experience.
