Event: School of Chefs - A Culinary Competition, part of Seattle Center's Next 50 I Date: May 12th, 12 - 4pm I Location: Seattle, WA
Description: Local celebrity chefs invited by Tom Douglas, Inc. will coach teams of kids from participating schools to cook a school lunch for a fixed cost ($1.25 per plate) with both nutrition and taste in mind. There will be two rounds of cooking and judging. Participating chefs include: Lisa Dupar, Leslie Mackie, Eric Tanaka, Josh Henderson, Karen Jurgensen, Jerry Traunfield, Jonathan Zimmer, Katherine Kehrli, and Rebecca Early.


Event: Salted: A Dinner Class with Mark Bitterman I Date: June 1st I Location: Pomegranate Bistro Kitchen, Redmond, WA I Cost: $60/person
Description: Join James Beard award winning author Mark Bitterman as he enlightens us about SALT.  Mark will explain the characteristics of salt as a Sommilier would wine.  Chef Lisa Dupar has perfectly paired courses with each salt to capture their true essence.
